Radial Manifold

Typically used in mineral processing applications, hydro cyclones use centrifugal force to separate solids from liquid or to classify coarser or greater mass particles from finer or lesser mass solids.

Brief…

Provide 3D sales drawing for the radial manifold. This is a redesign of an existing product which only existed in as a basic 2D drawing previously.

What we did…

All the technical drawings had already been done in AutoCAD. The client needed drawings suitable for use as sales aids and in operating/maintenance manuals, in both exploded & assembled forms. The product had just been redesigned and simplified so this was an ideal opportunity to put it all together as a virtual prototype. This is an extremely cost effective way of proving a design before any material is cut, welded & assembled.

Conclusion…

This product now exists as a 3D model & subsequently can be used to generate 2D manufacturing drawings; 3D rendered drawings & even photo-realistic images for brochures.
