Although the original data for this existed as .dwg, it had been converted from another CAD package. Initially we just modelled everything exactly as the original data. Once this existed as properly structured Inventor data we began the job of fine-tuning it into something that could be manufactured cost effectively & would go together.

The client developed some new products during our involvement with the advantage of being checked & tested 'virtually' before manufacturing anything. Producing the exploded drawings & sales BOM's has been a relatively easy process from the legacy models.

Conclusion
The data the client now has is up to date & is far more than just the piece part drawings. We have created the documentation for the spares manual and some high quality renders for marketing.
